Front Cover

COMPLETED BY GROUP

This is our final front cover. The image was chosen by the group and edited by myself in order to enhance the lighting and colours to ensure it fits conventions of our genre, shows continuity, and doesn't look dull. I really like the choice of image, it's fun and synergises with our music video whilst withholding deeper meanings through the wide variation of props, complying with the Enigma Code devised by Barthes. Phoebe then added in the font for the front cover of which she obtained from editing software Corel Photo Paint. The font was kept to a small size in order to fit indie conventions of the artist not being the main focus of the album.

DIGIPAK QUESTION 5

Phoebe composed an online survey in order to obtain feedback on the digipak. This way we were able to identify if our target audience thought the digipak fit our chosen genre well, and if they favoured the designs of each panel. The online survey allowed us to reach out to a wider range of participants opposed to handing out questionnaires. The results were analysed after 20 responders had completed the survey. The results are shown below. The only question of which I thought action had to be taken was the question that asked if the font worked with the entirety of the digipak, as a responder stated that the layout of the back cover should be adjusted. I agree with this, as in previous research we found that our target audience preferred the layout in a different order than the one Phoebe presented in this survey. I took the appropriate action and adjusted the back cover which can be seen on the Back Cover page. The satisfaction of our target audience is extremely important therefore their opinions should be taken into account.
